Meet the J.K. Percussion & Arts Team!
Jason Keller, a Delaware native, has been involved with music, drums and percussion for over 15 years. A majority of his experience has been in the marching arts (marching band, drum corps, indoor drumline). He has taught over a dozen different high school programs and has worked with groups including the Madison Scouts, Jersey Surf, and United Percussion, among others. Many of his former students have went on to perform with world-class drum corps and indoor drumlines. He also has student’s who have auditioned and earned positions in DMEA’s All-State Band.
Throughout his career, he has played for a wide variety of bands with genres including Rock, Gospel, Hip-hop, Funk, and Jazz. The most recent and current involvement is playing drumset with the hip-hop band, Reverse Giraffe.
Jason studied Music Performance at the University of Delaware with a double minor in Jazz Studies and Music Management. During that time he performed in a number of ensembles including, University of Delaware Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Big Band, and Jazz Chamber ensembles.

Clarinet, Saxophone, Composition, Music Theory
Dalton Ringey is a freelance clarinetist and composer based in Newark, DE. He has performed in groups such as the Philadelphia Wind Symphony, Delaware Winds, University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra, and University of Delaware Wind Ensemble, among others. He has also been on the substitute list for Symphony in C, a training orchestra based out of Haddonfield, NJ. He particularly has interest in the lower clarinets, with vast performing experience on bass clarinet and contrabass clarinets.
As a composer, he has been described as “imaginative” and “innovative,” and strives to write music that engages with audience members and performers alike. His music has been performed by several groups, including Xelana Duo, Meraki Chamber Players, University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra, and Drexel University Concert Band. Having written music for nearly every medium, he has gained a strong sense of orchestration and a natural ear for interesting and exciting harmonies.

Jonathan is a composer, guitarist, and artistic creator. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in music composition, and currently works teaching guitar lessons. Additionally, Jonathan is a member of the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band Drumline, and was formerly the lead arranger and lead conductor for the University of Delaware 8-Bit Orchestra.
When he is not teaching lessons, Jonathan performs guitar works or focuses on his composition projects - from percussive acoustic guitar songs to more formal, traditional western art pieces. While he is a fan of a large variety of genres and styles, Jonathan's favorite mediums range from progressive rock, soundtracks, jazz, flamenco, hip hop, and metal.
His main goal is to inspire students, helping them to find their passion and optimize their abilities, cultivating a sense of independence, confidence, and most importantly, fulfillment.
In his free time, Jonathan is also a developing freelance web designer and enjoys traveling whenever possible.

Chris has been performing as a freelance guitarist for over 12 years as a performer and a teacher. He has worked with many artists including “Boots” Greene and Jeff Bradshaw. He currently plays with Joe Bachman and The Party.
In his teachings, Chris focuses on musician communication and how to apply learning to real-life musical situations.

Dwight McIntosh is a professional keyboardist whose skills cover a wide range of abilities including live performance, session musician, piano/music educator, composer, arranger, producer, and sound designer. His dream of becoming a musician began with classical piano and music theory lessons at age 5, then took off when he started correspondence studies through programs offered by the Royal School of Music and Trinity College of London where he obtained honors diplomas in piano performance as well as music theory. His education continued with Jazz Mobile in New York where he studied Jazz piano with Sharon Freeman and arranging with Mickey Bass. Dwight’s acceptance into the BPS Interdisciplinary Music Studies program with Berklee College of Music provides him with a solid and diverse education.
Dwight has had the opportunity to work with many world-renowned musicians including Gerald Veasley (Smooth Jazz bassist), Kim Waters (Smooth Jazz saxophonist), Frankie McIntosh (pianist/keyboardist and arranger), Bobby Lyle (Smooth Jazz Keyboardist/Pianist) and the late Wilby Fletcher (drummer). He has also toured with Caribbean recording artists such as Shadow, Arrow, Becket, and Sparrow. He currently works with many local artists and musicians. Dwight has performed at venues such as the Apollo, the Kimmel Center, the Lincoln Center, the World Cafe, and various festivals. He has performed for former Vice President Joe Biden and Mayor Funk of Newark, DE. Dwight is a well respected musician and performer who has obtained the appreciation of many recording studios and colleges.
Dwight enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with his students. He uses music as a tool to express his most inner thoughts and feelings. He states, “Music is the only voice I have that can express every aspect of my being.”
